Specialisation registration form (to apply in the semester of graduation) |
| Specialisation Guidelines (with effect from Semester 1, AY2007/08) | |
| 1- | Please refer to the specialisation presentation slides. Students should check and satisfy the given requirements if they are interested in a particular specialisation. Generally, each specialisation requires students to read and pass 4 related electives and complete a specialisation related FYP. |
| 2- | Students do not have to register for a specialisation in advance. They can apply for the specialisation, stating the modules taken and FYP (i.e., B.Eng. Dissertation) title & supervisor, in the semester that they expect to graduate. Applications will be reviewed and students who have successfully completed all the requirements will be rewarded with the Specialisation certificate issued by the Department. |
| 3- | In the process of balloting for FYP topics, no preference will be given to students because they are keen in a particular specialisation. Interested students can extend their UROP / IA or opt for an open project in the specialisation area in order to secure FYP related to the specialisation. |
| 4- | For those students who have already registered for a specialisation, the Department will allow students the flexibility to drop their specialisation. They also do not need to give up their current FYP projects. |
