Maximum workload Year 1 Semester 1 & 2 : 20 MCs (in each semester) All Year 1 students are not encouraged to exceed workload. Exceptions are given to DDP/LLP/CSP students. Students on normal track should not bid for more than 2 ULRs (8 MCs) since you’ll be preallocated with 3 essential modules (12MCs). If you have not been preallocated an essential module, you have to ensure that you reserve enough MCs (4MCs for each essential) for the preallocation to take place successfully in CORS. |

Bidding for University Level Requirements (ULR) Appeals for a certain GEM/Breadth/SS modules |
ULRs include : GEMs, Breadth, SS ‘Breadth’ = Modules outside the Faculty Dept recommends you read 1 SS and 1 GEM module in this semester. However you need not follow this order if you prefer. |
SARTOR requirements SARTOR requirements will not be required for Chemical Engineering students of AY2007/08 cohort. Thus 07/08 cohort Chemical Engineering students are free to choose to any Breadth modules to read instead of reading the 2 SARTOR modules to count towards Breadth. |
