Informatics:

Machine Learning and Data Analysis

Investigators: Chakravarthy Mynampati Kalyan
                        Manoj Kandpal
                        Prem Krishnan

The focus of our research is in developing new methods for classification and modeling of chemical and biological data sets. Of particular interest is the development of effective and scalable methods to build robust model based classifiers. We have also developed new approaches for variable subset selection for classification and regression problems.

Control:

Biomedical Applications

Investigator: Yelneedi Sreenivas
(Co-supervised by Prof. G.P. Rangaiah)

Sreenivas is working in the area of adaptive fault tolerant control of multivariable systems with particular focus on the control of anesthesia. Efforts are under way in modeling as well as in the development of control algorithms.

Investigator: May Su Tun
(Co-supervised by Prof. G.P. Rangaiah)

The development of a decision support system for insulin delivery to diabetes patients in a hospital is the prime focus of May Su's research. Model development, parameter estimation and the synthesis of robust control algorithms are some of the areas covered in this research.

Investigator: Kanchi Lakshmi Kiran

Kiran is working on the multi-objective scheduling of cancer treatment using mathematical models.

Investigator: Loganathan, P

Agent Loganathan is keenly following the evolution of pandemics!

Investigator: Vaibhav Maheshwari
Co-supervised by Prof. G.P. Rangaiah)

Vaibhav is investigating issues related to the monitoring, modeling and intervention planning for Hemodialysis patients.

Process and Control Applications

Crystallization - Image Processing and Control
Investigator: Zhou Ying (ICES)
(Co-supervised by Prof. Raj Srinivasan, NUS/ICES)

Zhou Ying is exploring the use of inline video imaging for real time control of crystallizers.

Modeling and Control of Fuel Cells
Investigator: Li Yan
(Co-supervised by Prof. Min-Sen Chiu)

Process Intensification
Investigator: Gudena Krishna
(Co-supervised by Prof. G.P. Rangaiah)

Energy Systems
Investigator: Pavan Kumar Naraharisetti (ICES)
