ChBE PhD student, Magdiel Inggrid Setyawati wins Best Poster Award at the 7th ICMAT 2013
Magdiel Inggrid Setyawati’s work “Modulation of ZnO Nanomaterials Induced Oxidative Stress via the p53 Regulator Gene” wins the Best Poster in the category “Ecological and health impacts of nanomaterials and nanotechnology”. She, together with Asst Prof David Leong worked out the mechanism implicating p53 as one of the explanations why some cells die and some don’t after ZnO nanomaterials exposure. The 7th International Conference on Materials for Advance Technologies was held at Suntec Convention Center, Singapore on 1-5 July 2013.
