- Year 2013
- We congratulate Assoc Prof Yang Kun-Lin for receiving the Annual Teaching Excellence Award in recognition of his high level of commitment and achievement in education
- Department congratulates Assoc. Professor Liu Bin for receiving the Young Investigator Award which is in recognition of her special achievements in research
- ABB awards US$80000 to an NUS Chemical Engineering Project to be headed by Assoc. Prof. Raj Srinivasan and Prof. I. A. Karimi. It was one of the 40 projects selected globally, Congratulations!
- ChBE faculty members and staff swept three awards at the NRF POC 8th Grant Call.

- ChBE recent PhD graduates, Dr Panu Sukitpaneenit and Dr Zhang Wei, won the World Future Foundation PhD Prize in Environmental and Sustainability Research 2012
- Congratulations to Prof Lee Jim Yang on his reappointment as the Head of Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
- Congratulations to ChBE's Associate Professor Lakshminarayanan Samavedham who will be appointed as Director, Centre for Development of Teaching and Learning (CDTL) with effect from 1 September 2012.
- NUS ChBE retains Asia's top ranking chemical engineering school position and moves up to top 7th in the world from 10th position in 2011 - according to QS World University Rankings 2012
- ChBE professors have done us proud. Asst Prof Saif Khan wins an Annual Teaching Excellence Award (ATEA) for his excellent teaching. Assoc Prof Loh Kai-Chee is inducted into the prestigious Honor Roll after winning 3 ATEA.
- PhD Student Wang Peng wins the Best Student Oral Presentation Award in the ‘Desalination for The Environment and Clean Water and Energy’ International Conference 2012.
- ChBE PhD student wins the Chairperson's award for best poster presentation at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science HOPE meeting 2012.

- Congratulations to Assoc Prof Liu Bin for winning the 3rd L’Oréal Singapore for Women in Science National Fellowships 2011.
- Dr Ravichandar Babarao wins the World Future Foundation Prize in Environmental and Sustainability Research 2011.
- Congratulations to Prof Neal Chung and Prof Zeng Hua Chun for being awarded the "Engineering Research Leadership Award 2010" and the "Faculty Research Award 2010" respectively in July 2011.
