SYNOPSIS |
The centre is concentrating on the development
of PEM based Fuel cell systems, in addition to hydrogen generation and
hydrogen storage by various methods. The Research and technical programs in
Fuel cells are related to Gas
diffusion layers, Fuel cell Electrode , Low cost fuel cell components, Bipolar
plates, Non Noble Metal Catalyst , Humidifiers – Design and development, Combined water
and Thermal Management , Gas flow control, Fuel cell control, Power converters, Fuel cell stacks – Flow field
design development , Stack
design development, Stack Testing and Analysis, Fuel cell systems-
Development of PEMFC system for Grid Independent Power and for transport applications. The centre
has developed various modules of PEMFC stacks ranging from a few mW to 6 kW
modules. The complete grid Independent
systems ranging from 500 watts to 3 kW has been developed at our centre and
all these aspects will be discussed. |
