Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering

1983

First batch of BEng (Chemical) graduates

1979   The economic restructuring in the late 70s presented developments that provided many opportunities for chemical engineers and it became necessary to transfer the Department of Chemical Engineering to the Faculty of Engineering
1978   First batch of BSc (Chemical Engineering) graduates
1975   The continued expansion of the chemical process industry created a real substantial demand for chemical engineers and this led to a separation of the Applied Chemistry Section from the Department of Chemistry in 1975 to become the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Science.
1967   First batch of BSc (Applied Chemistry) graduates
1963

Applied Chemistry was introduced in the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science in the then University of Singapore to meet the manpower needs of the young and growing chemical process industry.
